On this blog you will find all sorts of things, most of which include pictures, including knitting, Blythe, art, nice knickers, chocolate, and other weird stuff that takes our fancy.
Despite our knitted terrorist demeanours, we are reasonable people. Although we retain our moral rights, we quite like the idea of Creative Commons, so if you like something on our site, contact us by leaving a comment on the relevant entry, and ask our permission to use it. We might be flattered enough to say yes. If you don't ask, like bad children, and take, take, take, we'll be very angry and will get on yo' ass, because it is a very rude (and an illegal) thing to do. Though we would love it if you subscribed to our site with your RSS reader - Bloglines, Google Reader etc.
We feel our mission in life is to promulgate the knitting revolution in whatever way we can, by making and giving knitted gifts, encouraging others to take up the craft, and by shouting loud about how much we like it. We also firmly believe in sharing stuff we like with anyone who will read it. No matter what or how strange.
We are in fact, Bad Ass Knitters, and subscribe fully to the Bad Ass Knitter's Manifesto.
We are obsessed with Blythe, the strange Japanese dolly phenomenon. We report here on their antics, wardrobe expansions and places they have visited.
We also like nice knickers and chocolate, and probably talk about them way too much.
Where can I find the glittyknittykitties?
When she isn't looking at art, reading filth, listening to extremes of music in all its marvellous manifestations, knitting or poring over the internet in celebration of the sheer depth, variety, richness and surreality of the human imagination, or playing at ravelry, glittrgirl can be found at a couple of knitting clubs in the north east of England, or slogging her sweaty way around her local gym in a vainglorious attempt to recreate her gymbody.
Scumkitten can mainly be found on random beaches, when she isn't attempting to swallow the whole of the Atlantic. She also likes sliding around on stuff and is nowhere near as erudite as Glittrgirl. She is, in fact, her scabby alter ego.
Thanks, hugs and many brownies to DJ Mikey for our banner photo and other pics. You rock.
