about the fact that my only decent local yarn shop (well, ok, corner of a department store) is going to close in less than a month. What am I going to do? This is going to have serious implications with respect to my sanity. On the plus side, I will have more money and my boyfriend won't think I am mad.
Don't ever bother coming to the south west for yarn. We are an (almost) officially yarn-free zone here.
p.s. I am very, very sorry to see the lovely ladies who serve behind the counter go too- they were great, always friendly and happy to chat about knitting related stuff. Never, ever underestimate the importance of stuff.

Stuff is REALLY important. We MUST MUST MUST try to make yarn provision in the UK better. Pester your LYS to get what you want, keep pestering, get your friends and family to pester. Buy stuff when they respond. Tell us about your experiences so that we can share them on this site and others! Knitting provision in UK MUST get better to accommodate all us anxious funky knitters!

What a shame! It's similar here - though there's a LYS left but I'm not very enamoured with them at the moment ...
