The Northumberland Moors
Yesterday I went out on the Northumberland moors with a friend to clear the cobwebs, get some fresh country air and stretch our legs. We had a lovely day and the weather held off, though rain threatened with thunderous looking steely grey skies for part of the day. I took a few piccies on the way.....

... we met some goats. They LOVE Polo mints.....

... the water from the recent floods is starting to recede.....

... grey skies didn't stop us having a lovely time!

The colours and textures of the mosses and lichens were simply spectacular.....

... I wonder if I can translate them into some knitting or embroidery????

Oh I love the goat! Looks just like one I used to have a few years ago... :)
As for translating the mosses into something.. how about some fuzzy slippers?
