Bagtastic!

My SP (you are wonderful btw...) has sent me another box.

I would have photographed it, but I was so excited I opened it on the bus. So you will have to make do with my verbal description.

It was a good sized cardboard box. Exciting enough in it's own right - but this particular cardboard box was decorated with little glittery maps and stamps. Maps of places far, far away with exotic sounding names. Maps that enticed and hinted at secret kingdoms yet to be discovered, full of treasures unseen by western eye.

I tore open the box, noticing that the addressee was in Seal Rock, OR.

I know someone who lives there.

Someone I gifted in the last round of SP - the tutu round.

Knitmonkey. And I know she sews.

In my secret box was a gift. Wrapped in candy coloured tissue, of hot pink, banana yellow and red. With an orange tie.

And a card.
A handmade card.
In a transparent blue envelope.
With a mermaid on it.
Embroidered to look like the mermaid is winding a skein of yarn around her tail.

It's beautiful.

I am going to frame it.

I rent the tissue open to find this little reversible cotton hand sewn bag.....

Spring.....

Autumn....How creative! How well stitched! How very - ME!

The bag was full of more pink tissue.

Sealed with little stickers in the shapes of flowers. Inside that was...

BIKINI YARN! Yay!!!!!!!

fixation.jpg

Cascade Fixation in hot pink - 5 balls of it. And two contrast colours because my SP can't decide which one. Again. That's how I ended up with 4 MaryElla kits!. One in a beautiful turquoise - vibrant and lovely, and matching extremely well with my Cozy shawl..... hmmmm. Hot pink and turquoise. Jarring nicely, vibrating my vision and causing a nice 3D effect in it's contrast. But the other is red. And pink and red together is one of my favourite combinations. Hot. And that combination matches the little bag which just seems made for carrying my suntan cream in...... Hmmmm. Decisions, decisions.

If there is more than one knitty person in Seal Rock I must visit because it seems a very cool and creative place with cool, creative people. If knitmonkey has been using a pal to send for her - she is a minx!

Whoever my secret pal is a bid THANKS to you! You have made my day! All that effort in making my bag, decorating my box and wrapping my gifts so beautifully, makes me feel very very spoiled. And I like that. A lot. :)

You see? You ARE loved! No need to hide in dark corners etc.

Aren't you a lucky Glittr?!

It's really hard to hide in dark corner when you sparkle a lot. Everyone knows you are there no matter how hard you try to disappear. And being shiny means you never really look sad. I'd be tarnished if I was really sad. Then I'd have to ask a friend to rub me up to make me shiny again wouldn't I?

I've got me buffing cloth right here, so no problems....

No offence matey - and I do appreciate the offer I really do - your massages are ace! (Can I book another one next time I see you? I sent something to help....)

But I'd rather be *buffed* by someone, well, buff, a bit rufty-tufty, testosterone charged.... get the picture?? ;)

A cabana boy perhaps? I'm sure Yorkie can train them in buffing!

You are a lucky minx, that bag is gorgeous! I'm even more excited about being part of the next SP now!

Don't worry, I'll hire the buffing cloth out to anyone who'll pay a good price...

Keanu? Tom? Brad? Or they all a bit too hollywood for you? I personally wouldn't say no to a bit of buffing from Paul Bettany, but then I do have a bit of a thing for gingers...

Colin Farrell please.

Or Aragorn.

Bono would do....
