UKnitty - part deux

For a pictorial story go to Purlpower's blog, or Faerynuff's blog.

So after eating Saturday lunch on Upper Street, we said a fond farewell to Lainch and Mike, who headed back off to Brighton. The wen trudled off by bus to Knightsbridge to the shop of Patricia Roberts. How we ooooo'd, how we aaaaaah'd and stroked and fondled. Lovely yarns. Some of us gave in and bought ......

After that we headed back to the apartment, for tea and cake. Knitting. Then Doctor Who with wine and nibbles, take out pizza and more knitting and chatting.

Some of us went out for a midnight stroll, over the Hungerford Bridge, past the London Eye and along to Westminster Bridge next to the Houses Of Parliament where we heard Big Ben chime midnight. Then we walked back along the Thames to our little place and went to bed.

Subday morning saw realrebellion as, freed from the constraints of setting an example to the kids, mother eagerly stuffed themselves with chocolate and cake for breakfast.....

We walked to Covent Garden, found The Bead Shop (closed on Sundays boo hoo) and then tookour places at an outdoor cafe in the sunshine and knitted once more. From here we split up - Yorkie, glittrgirl and Skitten went to the Lamb and Flag for lunch. Then met up with Pebbles, said goodbye to Scunkitten, and got on the train home. We knitted there too. Pebbles gave me a lovely aqua coloured shell charm bracelet to say thanks for a nice weekend...... Thanks Pebbles!

Sounds like another lovely day. I love cake for breakfast too! Living in London is so different than where I live. I've alway wanted to visit, but have never had the opportunity. We never walk anywhere. Everything is so spread out you have to drive. Also, pubs are nonexistent. Does that give you any hints as to where I live??? Hmmm???? Probably too vague.

I'm so sorry that the Bead Shop was shut - I had no idea that it would be. Oh well I guess we'll just have to do it all again!!!
