Lily Chin Reversible Rib Cable Shawl
She's blocked and a-ready for the wedding....
And to give you an impression of size... (sorry, no big pictures, as the light is still terrible here, even at 9.30 a.m.)
I used 5 balls of Kidsilk Haze in Dewberry, with US size 8 Denise needles. In total, there are 12.5 repeats of the pattern (I just kept going 'til I was happy with it). I haven't measured the width and length- I just stretched it for blocking until I was happy with the size.
And in case anyone looks at this and thinks 'I couldn't do that'- this is my first ever cable project and it was a piece of weewee.

I did nearly cry last night, after I unpinned it. It's taken 11 weeks of my life! We worked out that if I charged a nominal amount per hour + materials, we'd be looking at over £500...

it is gorgeous beyond words...but is this the universe's way of telling me that I should go down John Lewis and snap up those 6 balls of KSH in honey colour for 3 quid a ball????

Ooh - that's beautiful -where did the pattern come from?

Wow, it's truly lovely! We need to invent some new adjectives to describe just how lovely.

It's absolutely gorgeous! It looks heavenly! I want one!
Where's the pattern from? And do you think it would be easy to modify to it's slightly narrower? (like 2 or 3 cable-widths wide perhaps?)
