Oh Dear.

This is what I have to deal with at work sometimes:

"...knowledge loss will take place when a contradiction that should have been dealt with by Socratic negotiation or pluralist toleration, has been violently resolved by the supression of one side of the contradiction." (Parker, 2004)

Any clues? It's in a report on Education for Sustainable Development, which I have at least some understanding of. I'm only a poor geneticist. Be gentle with me.

I work in the same area - and I don't understand either..... I'm only a lowly arts graduate.....

It means that if one side bullies the other into doing things their way, "knowledge loss" will occur. It's better to arrive at an agreement that pleases both sides.
