A yarn covered car by Tim Klein

yarncarjpg.jpg

How long did THAT take to cover?

Tim Klein has made a close fitting cozy for his car by covering it in yarn. And it has become quite famous with appearances and press coverage.... What happens when it rains? Does it get all stretchy and trail on the road? Apparently not, and it's very tactile by all accounts.

So what happenes when it gets dirty? I wonder if it's removable and he takes it to the launderette?

Aye - the car wash would make it felt, and then it would shrink and squash the car up. Or perhaps its all petroyarn......

well, petroyarn would be appropriate wouldn't it? ;) (it'd probably outlast the car)
