The Centurion Knitters have decided to meet more regularly. We meet in The Centurion Bar and Deli in Central Station, Newcastle upon Tyne, on Saturdays. The dates for the forthcoming (now fortnightly) meetings are at 10am-12noon: 22 April, 6 May, 20 May, 3 June etc etc etc....... We meet in a function room at the back of the bar, which they kindly reserve for us, so there is little chance your knitting will smell of smoke. We average around 15 knitters a week at the minute. As we meet at ten, you need to get in via the deli/cafe entrance actually in Central Station, accessible from the platform.

There is also a new knitting group which meets in The Job Bulman, a Wetherspoons pub recently designated as a No Smoking venue, Gosforth on Thursdays: 27 April, 11 May, 25 May, 8 June etc. always at 7.30pm. As this is a new group it's hard to say how many regulars there are....

The weekly Tuesday meeting at The Forth Hotel of Miss Spiritual Tramps Knitting Club will continue, despite the founder moving back to Leeds. We meet there on Pink Lane, near Central Station, every Tuesday 7-9pm (or later if we are having fun). We usually try to sit at the back of the pub, on the raised area which has a No Smoking area. Sometimes it's reserved for us - sometimes it isn't. We average about 12-15 knitters a week there.

There is additionally a group which has recently started meeting at the fantastic Cumberland Arms in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne. The Knit 'n' Natter group meets there weekly on Saturdays, from 1pm onwards. Good sarnies, great beer in a CAMRA listed pub, and very friendly.
