Is it human?
Poor little doggie
If any of you were wondering how DJ Mikey is getting on post-op, here we have a photo taken 5 days afterwards, showing his mighty sling, known as 'the tug', 'the baby', 'the boogie board'. 'the muppet' and 'the sofa'. We are also considering hollowing out the foam to insert mini-chedders, and in setting up a tequila slammer mixing desk on the top- lime, salt, a holster for gold-label, that sort of thing. Poor honey: he's up and down at the moment. The wound itself (steri-stripped, dressing changed etc.) is doing well, but we're having issues with muscle spasming down his back and along his arm, due to the odd position he's in (and will be in for the next 3 months). Also, it makes him very large. One has to manouver around him. But big hugs to everyone who has visited and rung and ... sent him presents (glittr)... which leads me to...
Jethro, what you doin'?
... the beauteous fly-fishing hand knit socks sent from Glittr. He wore them solidly for five days after coming out of hospital because his feet were so cold. I finally managed to pry them off when we attempted a bath. How did we do it? (Bearing in mind you are not allowed to get the dressing wet at all and have to keep the arm in position- and the sling is very spongey) We used a washing up bowl and a car roof strap to keep the arm in position, a jam jar for washing purposes and lots of towels for coverage. Nice. p.s. I didn't make him stand like this, it was his own idea to show off the socks. I was wincing.
