Even The Guardian thinks it's OK.....

Grrrrrrr
And part of that is because there is a journalistic perception that knittivism is a LONDON thing, and that we parochial wannabes are waaaaaaaay behind.
Eat my knittivist shorts, and do your 'research' better. I hope you London smug journo twits f*cking choke on them. We have 4, yes, 4 groups who meet in the North East. And we live in a small city. North/south divide (i.e. London vs the Rest Of The UK?) Bring it ON.

Ah well- this is the Guardian we are talking about. The Guardian is the most staggeringly London-centric paper I have ever had the misfortune to read- and yes, I still read it every saturday and it never fails to bollocks up in that regard- or indeed, always fails to research properly or get its facts right. There must be a Guardian training camp somewhere where the old lags brainwash the newbies. Best thing to do? Ignore it. Don't let it get to you. It's only poncy London types (who think that London is the only place to live) who believe it anyway.

I was curious when I first noticed the article. Then I read it and thought it was rather pathetic. They could at least have found some more interesting websites to reference. Also agree that it's not worth worrying about. Last week they printed that the starting salary for uni research staff was £25,000. I wish.

That's not the only place you'll find mistakes in The Guardian - the music section is usually full of them. As for the book - it's nothing out of the ordinary - it's a long time since I wanted to look like one of Tallulah Gosh

I know!!! About the starting salary! I wondered a) who the hell they had been talking to and b) which university it was, because I bloody wished I worked there ;)

My colleagues in the medical, dental and vet schools may be to blame for this skewed figure. Clinical salaries are much higher......
