Prague

I had to visit Prague for a meeting to do with work. I managed to hook up with a knitting group there, and visit MarLen, a marvellous knitting and textiles shop in Prague. If you ever go, it's worth checking out as the tiny shop is stuffed to the ginnels with yarn and fabric. And it is very reasonably priced. I was spoiled for choice, but picked up some 100% cotton tapey stuff in khaki/grey/black for myself, a ball of gorgeous wintery black and green mohair and wool mix, and some 100% cotton finer slubby stuff in a slatey blue. All lovely. Oh and I picked up some bits a pieces for my mother, 100% cotton in a coral colour, about 3 ply. And some stuff for Pebbles, Flossie and Purlpower. Cos I had to stand them up. And I hate standing anyone up. Prague was lovely, but I would have liked longer to explore. However, I think I got enough of a taste to make me want to go back and visit again. Big thanks to Nikki and the girls from the Wanton Knitters group in Prague. I had a lovely time meeting them, knitting with them, buying yarn and drinking cocktails with them. Thanks a lot to them for making me feel very welcome and at home to Nikki, Vera, Eve, Gosia, and Martha (I think I have named checked everyone I met). No pics as the camera is not with me right now. More soon I hope.
