French doily

French doily

Rearranging my stash I came across a 100g ball of Coats Eldorado, 100% white cotton. Doily! After consultation with the Queen of Doilies, I decided on this french pattern from yarnover.net. For my first doily I am pretty pleased and will be using this massive ball of cotton to knit more! It was a really entertaining knit, every row being different and knitted entirely on Holz & Stein ebony dpns. The photo was taken on my kitchen floor.

Heck as like, girly are you trying to make me look bad? ;) :#

I've finished the 'thing' I was knitting for my SP. I have even used the things I bought at Woolfest to successfully finish off the 'thing' without embedding it in my finger...

But it's so grand I want to make another one and I can't show them because.....

Knitting mojo has been on overdrive since Woolfest.... nearly on to border of POTW.... want to knit more doilies.... think Dr Who needs a knitting related episode.... been taking strong painkillers for back pain and think I am doolally.... hopefully normal service will be resumed soon...... *falls over in a dizzy knitting frenzy.......*

She truly is the queen of dolies. You should see the shawl she knit for the shop. Amazing.

I'm sure there's a place for a string theory - knitting tie-in Dr Who episode. They could meet some sort of divine knitty person who creates/destroys/changes with a click of their cosmic needles.
