Hand carved Blythe copies

Via MAKE

MAKE: has an article on people who make hand carved copies of Blythe.... and it links to this Flickr site which documents the whole Woody Blythe proces. Fascinating as Mr Spock might say.

Amazing! the grain on her face is soo lovely. ---and now i feel like a complete wimp for whining about my poked fingers from doing a simple Blythe re-root! What skill, she's gorgeous.

Or alternatively, 'bonkers' as Helen might say....
do they have to use the eyes out of an original Blythe? If so, that must be a very expensive hobby. The picture showing just the eyes is well scary.

Yeeargh! That box looks like a conjurer's prop ... you know the type with swords that go through it.
