Wave skirt
I finished my second version of the Wave Skirt from Interweave Knits 2004 Summer edition. I liked this version a lot, but I wanted to make a plain black version. And now I have it. And I love it. Yarn is Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in black.
edited to add: It only took 3 skeins to make the whole skirt.
Apologies for the last pic, it's really hard to take pics of myself wearing a skirt....

I like this one-colour version a lot more ... great job! But I am not sure how comfortable it is wearing knitted skirt ... mainly because I haven't worn one before. :)

It looks fab! Please do tell how the wearing of it is. I've feared the sags and have never ventured into knit skirt territory. It looks lovely in black btw.

In answer to the questions above - the reason I decided to make another one of these skirts is precisely because it is so comfortable to wear. Cotton Fleece is absolutely perfect for this garment, because it has some merino in it, which gives the fabric some memory and spring. Therefore it doesn't sag, washes really well, needs minimum blocking/dressing and is extremely easy to look after. Honestly, I can't say enough nice things about this skirt. I would not make a skirt in pure cotton, as that would sag (and who wants a saggy arse eh?), and a pure wool skirt would, I think, be slightly itchy. But Cotton Fleece is great, and in Summer, it's cool with bare legs and flip flops, and in Winter, it's warm with tights and boots.

You've been busy! I love this skirt, and it looks great in a single colour xx

Fabulous! Great job. I really like the monochromatic scheme. Plus, it's black!

Yes indeed. Black is always good.

Bum. I want one now. And I can't have one because I have no cotton fleece and am on a promise not to buy any more yarn....
