Dandelion
Dandelion, by Marie Wallin![]()
Knitted in Rowan Handknit Cotton, main colour Rosso and contrast colour, Flame. I knitted this faster than any other cardie I have knitted before, since I decided to knit the two fronts together, and the two sleeves together. I really liked knitting like this cardie, since I can be absolutely sure that both fronts are the same, and both sleeves are identical. The crochet round the edgings was easy and quick to do, and gives a nice feminine touch. I got nice little red clear pastic buttons at the fantastic Duttons for Buttons in York, a veritable treasure trove of trimmings.
I think I will wear this quite a lot this summer, open, over a tea dress with my lovely wellies (we do get quite a lot of rain here you know!), whilst eating strawberries and drinking champagne, hopefully!

That's wonderful. It will look great worn with the wellies and frock! And thank-you for the link to Duttons - definitely a place I'll be visiting soon.

Hi glittyknittykitty, I absolutely love your blog site and your knittivist revolution.
I am on a bit of a mission myself, as I am planning on hosting a knitting blogging exhibition here in Canberra Australia. I would love to invite all of glittyknittykitty to participate. If you are interested and would like more info please go to my blog. There is more info on me and the project and my email if you wish to contact me. I hope you say yes....
