Naughty knitting - sexy lingerie

Flower distraction, the naughty stuff is further in...

I was thumbing through my copy of Naughty Needles last night to relieve the tedium of acres of 2x2 rib and stocking stitch in the round, when I decided that I needed to make some of the projects in there. Just for the hell of it. Then I remembered about a lacy thong pattern from Interweave Knits, Spring 2007. What I ended up with is a little knitted lingerie collection.... I have posted an orchid here, but read more to see the risque black and red lusciousness I created....

I made everything from Rowan 4 Ply Cotton in black, using a 3.5mm circular, or dpns. I had the red ribbon lying around - 2 metres would be enough if you need a guide, and I mixed in some Lurex Shimmer for the Hootchie Kootchie pasties by Nikol Lohr, from Naughty Needles. The Lacy Thong is by Laura Bintala from the Spring 2007 Interweave Knits, and is available to download as a free PDF. The garter is my own creation, and involved a simple cable cast on to a teeny Addi circular, three rounds of 1x1 rib, a round of k2tog YO, then three more rounds of rib before casting off ribwise. I used a picot crochet edging round both edges. I lightly steam pressed then added a bright red ribbon. What en ensemble!

A whole dressing up outfit in one evening of knitting. Not bad productivity really.

Yep. Eyelash glue did the trick, whilst I did a load of housework to test them out.... I am glad I live two floors up!

Great! Just love the black and red, very vampy.

I thought I had made a mistake when I did it, my lace panel is wonky at the bottom. It must be a mistake in the pattern, as yours is the same. Weird. Not that you'd notice! They look great!
