The Somewhat Cowl

Knitted with five balls of Wensleydale Longwool from the Wensleydale Longwool Sheepshop in a deep aubergine colour. I made a few adaptations to Wendy Barnard's pattern, but for my first top-down raglan, I can safely say I am a convert to this type of jumper construction.

Deeply lovely. The photos are all great too - I'm trying hard not to go Googling for that beautiful wool, because if I find it, I will want to buy it...

I LOVE the way this looks in wool. I knit one in the recommended alpaca and silk (just posted it to the blog yesterday, in fact), and I think the yarn is too drapey for the pattern. You chose a beautiful color, too!
