Calaveras

Tip chair with Calaveras cotton covering
We were given a random chair a few weeks ago, by a friend who had acquired it from the local tip for 0 pence. It's simple enough, but it had horrible material stapled to the seat. I found some tremendous fabric on Ebay that just suited DJ Mikey's brief for coverage: 'bright' he said, 'but weird'. I think this Alexander Henry Calaveras fabric (which also comes with the backgrounds of pale or bright pink, or black) is suitable on both counts. The quote from DJ Mikey is 'it looks like flowers from a distance, then you get close up and it's skulls'. What you can't tell from the photograph is that the cheery skulls have glittery accented teeth, noses and eyebrows. So bright, about death AND glittery. What more could a girl/boy ask for? Apart from a skirt or maybe a sundress in this material, maybe. I'd like that, yessiree bob.
