Competition winners
Well this was difficult.
In the end we decided to award three prizes:
I've got ewe under my skein by Ella Fitzgerald (Tasha)
Rat in the Kitchener by UB40 (knitmonkey)
I Left My Chart in San Fransisco by Tony Bennett (Jan B.)
We felt that we had to have an honourable mention to the entry that caused us both to spit [insert hot drink of choice here] all over the place: Mrs Bobbinson by Simon & Garfunkel, submitted by Dod.
The other 6 that would make up a Top Ten, in no particular order, were:
Rip it up and start again by Orange Juice (maryannlucy)
Dancing in the steeks by Martha Reeves (Tasha)
I am the wool-rus by The Beatles (mickey)
Rip it by Devo (Zanne)
Won't get fulled again by The Who (Linzi)
First of the hank to dye by Morrissey (Katy)
Thanks again to everyone who entered. It was such fun to read your entries, which caused much hilarity, laughing out loud in public and scratching of chins. We will send out the three prizes in the next couple of days.
