Linen skinny scarf

It is getting dark in the evenings here - hell it's getting dark during the day, so photographing FOs without proper lighting is difficult. If I get the chance to take these again, I will change the pics above.

Anyway, this is Get The Skinny Scarves by Sandi Wiseheart from Interweave Crochet, Fall 2005. The pattern, together with a 4mm hook, and 2 balls of Cool Linen by Diamond Yarn in shade number 8699 were sent to me recently by adriennec as part of Knitty SP9. I really enjoyed crocheting this scarf, and I think I will actually wear it! Thanks again Adrienne.

Wearing my non-knitted hat: using a simple reflector (a piece of white paper or cloth would do) would fix your lighting issue.

There's also a simple homemade lightbox solution I keep meaning to get around to posting for knitters. Basically, if you take a section out of each side of one of those A3 copier boxes with the white insides, and replace the sections white tissue or greaseproof (you can stick it on with masking tape), you can shine anglepoise type lamps through the paper, and try letting your camera add in its own flash.

Works, honest. :)
