Catnip - its effects on Greebo

Greebo LOVES catnip. He usually likes to eat it. He recently realised that rolling in it had a different effect.......

He loves olive wood too, purring really loudly and rubbing himself on the olive wood. The nutcracker is one of his favourite things to drool on and cuddle.

I sometimes fill the cavity in that olive wood nutcracker with catnip...... as a special treat ....

Fantastic!

I love to see how catnip affects different cats. I've had some who could take it or leave it, some who roll around orgiastically in it... but I had one who got *really intense* the second he got a sniff. Really... focused. He would slowly, deliberately eat his way through as much as he could find (it was a case of controlling the dose and hiding the rest in a locked cupboard)... and if you miscalculated the dose, about 10 minutes after he'd finished, he'd lie around looking unhappy. You could practically see the thought bubble: "Dude... not feeling so good... like, oh, my head, dude..."

Hey Robynn, that sounds JUST like Greebo. I have to hide the box. He slowly munches and then falls over... He had done that in this piccie, and then the stuff that had fallen on the floor out of the nutcracker, he rolled in it... and began to smile. Awwwww they are so cute with catnip!
