Knit your own iPhone

knitphone.jpg

The real thing ;).Thanks to Daddytype for allowing me use of picture

Desperate for an iPhone, but don't want to spend 48 hours queuing whilst people cheer those coming out from the shop as if they have just won Wimbledon? I am old grumpy lady, and I don't know what the world is coming to, but I am very keen on this knitted iPhone, complete with instructions, thought up by Daddytype's clever mummy.

Hurrah for mummy power, that's what I say! And say NO! to Apple and YES! to knitting your own- it may not work, but is it really going to be that much of an issue if it doesn't?

This was featured in The Guardian today - page 3 in G2..... Knitted things. On page 2 of G2. I ask you. Oh. And I say YES to Apple. I want a real one.

Oooh I love that. Was there a pattern with it, or I suppose it might be easy enough to make it up?

I'm knitting a camera. ;)
