Simple faux faroese mini shawl

Simple faux faroese mini shawl
The Simple faux faroese mini shawl is a pattern by Eleanor Doyle, written to accommodate one skein of Fyberspates Scrumptious chunky. I was given a skein of this lovely yarn when I test knitted a sock pattern for peatbogfaery. I really like how this little shawl has turned out, though I think it will be a gift to someone, so I can't say much more than that. Scrumptious is 45 percent silk and 55 percent Bluefaced Leicester, single ply and very very soft. It seems to take colour beautifully and was very nice to knit with. The shawl was knitted on 7mm needles. I blocked mine gently and it looks much better for it. Finished size is about 46 inches wide, by 18 inches deep at the point. Perfect as a cover up over a camisole held together with a brooch.
