Habu kit-78 Kusha Kusha merino and silk stainless steel scarf

Ganainm gave me this amazing kit for my birthday. And I cannot thank her enough. I adore the colours, I adore the result, and the handfelting was great fun. I can see I will wear this a lot. Knitted with one strand of Habu Super Fine Merino A-177 in shade 28 Bordeaux together with one strand of Habu Silk Stainless A-20/21 1/20 in shade 45 Terracotta on 5mm, 4mm, 3.5mm and 3.25mm needles and gently handfelted. The pattern is also available online from The Purl Bee.

It's lovely, but I'm a bit confused as to how it's put together/felted! Is only a section of it felted? The brighter section doesn't look felted, the darker section does.

Love the scarf, and love the cushy softness wrapped around the cold hard metal links! I just bought my first Habu and have been looking for a scarf pattern. Think I'll copy this...

Cool blog btw, glad to find it. Yay Marmite!
