Liesl

Liesl by Ysolda Teague

Having a finishing off day today...

Liesl knitting in Colinette Giotto (about 4.5 skeins), unknown colourway as it was purchased by Jeannie for me when she went to a workshop at the Colinette HQ in deepest darkest Wales. I love the autumnal colours of this colourway and I also love this pattern! It is very forgivng and would, I think, suit most body shapes with its flattering neckline and easy fit.

The buttons were a gift and are made from Fimo, each one a different colour. I think they go nicely with the variegated colourway.

Edited to add: Buttons came from www.mcanaraks.com, I did 14 pattern repeats on my sleeves, and I added a row of double crochet round the neckline to stabilise it, carrying on down the placket and making the buttons holes with chain stitch.

I want to see this on! I think the pattern is nice, but not every picture of others' finished projects have convinced me. It looks great on Tallulah though.
