A History of Handknitting by Richard Ruff

historyofhandknitting.jpgI have been listening to an abridged audio version of this book in my way into work the last few mornings. I find that this method of digestion of what could be a bit of a dry book, has made 'reading' it a listening pleasure. I downloaded a copy for £3.95 via iTunes, but you can get it directly from audible.com too (though it seems to be slightly more expensive that way).

I have learned so much about the history of knitting and the lack of evidence/research enabling an accurate chronology of the beginnings of knitting history.

I am really looking forward to 'reading' the rest of this book and would recommend it highly to anyone interested in finding out more about the origins of our beloved craft.
