I didn't like the idea of tying and retying mohair waist ties, so I used some midnight blue satin ribbon, and made the ties long enough to go right around my waist - which is not as slim as Tallulah's!
I have a midnight blue silk slip trimmed in black lace that will look fabulous with this cardie over a pair of jeans.

That's so pretty. Function aside, the contrast of the ribbon is just beautiful. Much better than all mohair.
