Ēostre

Ēostre is the old Northumbrian form of Ēastre in old English which later became Easter. A shining time of rebirth, renewal and a celebration of life. Apt considering recent times. These are the buds outside my living room window this morning - getting ready to burst open in bright green freshness, all new and sappy and young.

There was a goldfinch right in the middle of the frame just before I snapped, but it was too interested in the contents of my bird feeder to stay there long enough for me to capture for posterity. Or too scared of Greebo's chirruping...
