Lace choker

lace_choker1.jpg

I knitted this about three years ago, when the Secret Knitting podcast had it as it's featured pattern. But it has sat at the bottom of a bag since then, awaiting buttons and beads adding on. I had totally forgotten about it until today when I was having a clear out of my project bags. As it was only going to take a little while to finish it, I did so. And here is is blocking on the arm of my sofa. I think it was knitted in some Rowan cotton double knit, but it was long ago I can hardly remember. The buttons are cream coloured paua shell (or something similar) and the beads are tiny pearl coloured seed beads, about 22 on each tendril. I felt inspired to finish it as we did such nice jewllery/accessories things on holiday at St Julien l'Ars.
