More Chateau de St Julien L'Ars
Glittr and I can thoroughly recommend the week long knitting workshop attended by the Knitted Terrorists a week and a half ago. Run by Sue from Kangaroo , ably helped by her husband and kitchen slave Calli, it allowed us to stay in the glory that is the Chateau de St Julien L'Ars. More on the workshop later. But first, look at the Chateau (top L and picture courtesy of Kangaroo Sue)! Don't it make you feel all kind of princessy? Turrets!
The dining room (top R) was a masterclass in soft French cream and iconic use of mirrors, and other rooms had interesting colour combinations that just shouted inspiration to me (bottom L), which is rather lucky considering the workshops were on the use of colour. As the weather was rather lovely (including one boisterous thunderstorm and accompanying frogs), much of the time was spent knitting outside. With wine. Oh how tedious it must of been for us, eh?
