Nicole cardie

Nicole by Azize Stirling.

Tallulah is doing her best to model Nicole, knitted in Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend, but really, it looks better - nay, MUCH better - on a living moving person.

You know the best thing?

It suits EVERYONE who tries it on. And I really do mean everyone. The drape is lovely, the colour is gorgeous, the sleeves are perfect and it was a very easy knit. A zen knit for those requiring mindless stress relief. A telly knit. A delightfully uncomplicated knit. With beautiful consequences.

I finished this a few days ago and have worn it non stop. Draped and pinned on the shoulder with a shawl pin, hanging loose, with collar turned back, without collar turned back, wrapped loosely around body and pinned with a shawl pin. This cardie can be worn in so many ways.

I was inspired to knit mine after seeing Anne's in a variegated colourway. If I had only looked on Ravelry I would never have even considered making this garment, since out of the few that had made it, it was described as tedious and dull. I didn't find it so at all. Zen. Just what I needed. Everyone needs some mindless knitting. If that's you. consider making Nicole, or a version of Flag from Knitonthenet.
