Featherweight cardie

Featherweight cardigan by Hannah Fettig

Most of this was knitted on my recent two week trip to Halki, a small Greek island paradise in the Dodecanese.

Knitted with handspun and dyed black merino from handpaintedyarn.com bought ages ago. You need the bright hours of sunshine to knit black laceweight in stocking stitch believe me.

I added a doubled rib hem on the body and the sleeves to give more structure, and beads along the edges and on the stocking stitch shawl collar. I also added grosgrain ribbon to fasten.

I think with hindsight I may have made a size smaller, but it looks lovely over my floor length floral summer frock. Details at Ravelry.
