Vintage 50s turban

turban.jpgI loved this vintage pattern on the V&A site as soon as I saw it. I have been contemplating knitting it for ages, and a recent rake through my stash revealed two hanks of Romni Wools Angora Silk in black, that I thought would be perfect - nice stitch definition, and a luxurious feel. Boy am I pleased with this result! I have over enhanced the exposure and saturation on this pic slightly, so that you can see the stitch definition clearly, and so that my face is obscured as much as possible - it is Sunday morning after all.... The hat and hair combo makes up for it though ;)

Very interesting, especially against your red hair!
